"Say We believe in God and what is revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and I`saac and Jacob and the Tribes, and what was entrusted to Moses and Jesus and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them and to Him we have surrendered." (Quran 3: 84)

For Muslim Webmasters

"The Messenger's duty is but to convey the Message." [The-Qurán, al-Maai`dah(5):99]

If you own an Islamic website, or plan to build one, then here is some message for you on this page. May Allah (swt) be pleased with your efforts and help us all in conveying the message of Allah (swt) "with wisdom" and "beautiful preaching". Amen.

Some points to remember while building your site

  • UNDERSTAND THAT THE SITE IS A MEANS OF DAWAH (Invitation to Islam) for Non-Muslims and Muslims alike and it is going to affect their lives in a big way. Present authentic information about the Religion only. If you are not sure of the authenticity of the material, then it is best to avoid such content till you get things clarified from scholars and those who know. Publishing potential un-Islamic content acts as a means of "Negative Dawah", ie, it doesn't "invite" people but repels them from the true religion of Allah (swt).
  • Indulge in personal dialogue with all interested people which helps in spreading awareness about Islam, improves relations with people of other faiths and increases friendship and brotherhood among the people of the Ummah.
  • Take extra care not to encourage propagation of hatred for Non-Muslims among Muslim brothers and sisters, or among Muslims themselves as this is strictly against the teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah.
